Zebra offers the only complete, multi-language, global printing solution that is Unicode-compliant, for fast multi-language, on-demand thermal printing right out of the box, wherever you need local-language printing. This solution enables Zebra printers to quickly and accurately print in the native language of most countries around the world, and to print multiple languages on a single label.

Built-in Unicode support saves time and money, and boosts printing productivity:

• Fonts reside on the printer, eliminating the need to download fonts as graphics and significantly reducing the pauses between labels when batch printing.
• Licensing of language-specific fonts or codepages is not required, avoiding added complexity and expense as your business expands into new regions.
• No special software or programming is required.

Zebra�s Global Printing Solution supports multiple encoding schemes (such as GB18030, Big5-HKSCS, UTF-8, UTF-16BE, and UTF-16LE), multiple scripts,and custom characters and logos. It also supports advanced text layouts that allow for the shaping of complex characters in languages such as Arabic, Hebrew, and Hindi.

CPCL is one of the three programming languages used by Zebra bar code printers. CPCL is used by Zebra mobile printers.

EPL is one of the three programming languages used by Zebra bar code printers. EPL is used primarily by Zebra's desktop bar code printers.

ZPL is one of the three programming languages used by Zebra bar code printers. Zebra Programming Language (ZPL) is used by Zebra's desktop, tabletop and mobile printers.

XML-enabled printing offers easy integration of Zebra's Xi High Performance printers into ERP systems and applications, offering increased interoperability for today's mission-critical supply chain environments.

Zebra now offers a firmware solution that leverages the power of ZebraLink to enable select Zebra printers to process legacy label formats developed in popular competitive environments. For the first time, Zebra gives customers the option of replacing the powerful Zebra Programming Language (ZPL), native to Zebra printers, with an alternate programming language (APL) that recognizes and prints label formats developed for other bar code printers.

Zebra's QL Plus series, and RW series mobile printers now support Wavelink's Avalanche management software. This allows IT administrators to maintain complete visibility and control over devices from a single remote console.

ZebraDesigner for XML offers both the label design features and printer configuration tools that enable printing on XML enabled printers. The easy to use variable wizard makes it simple to link variable information to text, bar code and RFID tags on the label. BAR-ONE for mySAP allows you to print directly from SAP R/3 by automatically generating SAPscript for use with Zebra printers. You can upload directly into SAP Layout Sets, without user modification required. Design, modify, and print complex label formats using a simple graphical interface. An extremely fast and hassle-free way to generate bar codes directly from SAP R/3 applications.

Label Vista is free software for designing labels for CPCL-compatible Zebra mobile or Comtec mobile printers. Label Vista combines an intuitive graphically-based user environment with powerful but easily mastered editing tools. Label Vista also allows the easy creation of format files that remain resident in the printer, for simple merges with variable data files sent from the host, effective for printing labels that have a mixture of constant and variable data fields.

The font creation capabilities of Label Vista allow you to create downloadable pre-scaled (fixed-size) fonts derived from TrueType™ fonts. Label Vista allows direct use of TrueType fonts in labels, but these label files can be printed only from within the program. Networking capabilities allow for configuration, network printing, and FTP file transfer.
